Topic

Dissecting Generative AI and Its Implications

Synopsis

The emergence of large language models (LLM) and especially the implementation of ChatGPT as an example of generative AI has significantly enhanced the capability of machines to generate contents and perform tasks comparable to human being. In this session, Prof. Hui will review the background of LLM, explain the key features of ChatGPT and how it differs from classical machine learning or neural network-based AI applications, and discuss its potential impacts on the future of work. The session will conclude with some thoughts on how we should embrace generative AI in our work setting.
